Main Characters

James (Jamie) Margrave – mercenary, subject of the prophecy of the vampires, Muse: Willem Dafoe
- escapes elven/vampiric ambush with the help of rogue elf but isn’t wildly excited about the idea of being the subject of the prophecy.

Renegade Elf (bow) – Firali, not really being altruistic, he was banished by the Elven King and Queen for refusing to marry their daughter, he wants his revenge and spiking their plans is good enough for him, Muse: Haldir from LOTR

Dwarf (axe) – Baern, son of Taarn. Is a ‘sheriff’. Gets involved with Dellon and Firali because it’s his job to apprehend any elves. Dellon stops him and reluctantly explains what’s going on. Baern is suspicious and insists on going with them to keep an eye on Firali because he doesn’t trust him… at all. Muse: Gimli from LotR

Jeremy (Jem) de Vail – budding thief, jack of all trades and general nuisance. Eighteen, human, male. Street kid, minor smart arse, nowhere near as smart as he thinks he is. Handy with a knife (both fighting and throwing) but nowhere near as good as he thinks he is with the fighting though he’s not too damn bad at throwing knifes effectively. (Still hasn’t learned when and when not to do that – hasn’t grasped the idea that throwing your knife means you lose your weapon.) He follows along because he thinks Dellon is ‘cool’. Baern knows who is and wants to send him back but by the time they realise he’s there, they’re too far away to send him back on his own and they’re being followed too closely for one of them to take him back. He will get them into trouble and learn the consequences of his actions can be very, very high and not always paid for by him. Muse:
